I know I've mentioned it before, but my husband makes a mean noodle dish with the carrots, peas, celery, and onions we get from Honeyville. I've been ordering from Honeyville for a couple of years. They have great food storage products. The family favorite is the Freeze Dried Mango. You can eat it right out of the can or rehydrate.  I started buying freeze dried mango at Trader Joes at $2.99 for a very small bag. I discovered Honeyville and saved so much. My husband loves the celery, peas, and carrots for a quick noodle dish he makes. 

I started out with a mixed fruit case, a mixed veggie case, and a large can of mango. I have since purchased powdered eggs, tvp, wheat gluten, potatoes, and onion.   In addition to reordering items we have run out of, I have added to my stockpile when Honeyville runs a sale. We do have a CSA share that keeps us in fresh fruits and veggies through the spring, summer, and fall. I can and freeze quite a bit of those fresh fruits and veggies. But, it's still nice to have these cans of freeze dried fruits and veggies on hand in case you run out of something (food or budget!). There is definitely peace of mind knowing you can provide the basics for your family in the case of an emergency.
