Spring is on it's way! That is what I keep telling myself anyways. At least the Spring Consignment Sales are coming... I'm a big fan of consignment sales for many reasons. Not only is it a great way to save, it's a great way to earn a little cash for your gently used (sometimes new with tag!) items.
The Clothesline (Bon Air) just posted the dates for their Spring Sale, February 24-26. This sale is one of my favorites. This is always a great consigning, volunteering, and shopping experience. For consignors, another plus is the convenience of transferring inventory between other sales that use the same online tagging system. You can
register for the spring sale now as a consignor, worker, or new mom. If you sign up to work at least one shift by Tuesday February 1, 2011 you will receive an additional $5.00 gift certificate to our February sale! Kids Layne has scheduled their Spring Sale for February 25-27. The sale will be in the Canterbury Shopping Center at 10616 Patterson Avenue (intersection Patterson Avenue and Pump Road) in the West End. They are still looking for volunteers to help work the sale. Volunteers will get to shop early.

Monday's Child has scheduled their second sale for March 19-20 at
Good Shepherd Child Development Center in Midlothian. If you are interested in consigning, you need to register by March 12. West End Assembly of God's
Mothers of Young Children Clothing and Toy Sale has scheduled their spring sale for March 19 from 8am - noon. This sale is located at 401 Parham Road , Richmond , VA 23229. This has traditionally been a sale that people arrive early to stand in line. If you are interested in consigning, the registration is February 1-15.
Ring Around the Rosy Registration for the Spring Sale is full. In my experience, this is the largest sale in the area. The sale location has moved again to Rockwood Square Shopping Center, 10185 Hull Street Road, Midlothian, VA 23112. Here's the sale schedule:

Kid's Closet Connection has scheduled their spring sale March 25-27. They outgrew their previous location and the sale will now be at Chesterfield Fairgrounds.
The Mustard Seed Sale (Crozier) is scheduled for April 9th. They will be accepting new consignors February 1 - April 2.
Trading Treasures (West End) is scheduled for April 7-9th in the Tuckahoe Village Shopping Center on Patterson Avenue. Consignor and volunteer registration is currently open. The dates were just changed. I've just signed up for this sale. Looking forward to checking it out.
Threads (West End) is scheduled for March 11 - 13, March 18 - 20, and March 25 - 27 in Canterbury Shopping Center, 10616 Patterson Ave., Richmond, VA 23238. I'm looking forward to another multi-weekend sale in the area. Looks like there are a consignor and volunteer opportunities still available.
Tickles and Giggles(Ashland) public sale dates are April 16 and 17. Consignor registration deadline is April 8. Deadline for item entry and volunteer sign-up is April 11. April 15 is the private sale for volunteers, consignors, and charity. The sale is open to the public April 15 from 8a - 3p. From 4p - 6p, volunteers and consignors can attend the private 50% sale. April 17, the 50% off sale (select items) is from 10a - 2-p.
Kidtopia Now was sold in late 2010. The new owner recently posted on Facebook that the name will be changing and sale dates will be coming.
